According to a resident in northeastern Miringa town, Muhammad Kimba, the militants arrived before dawn and went door to door slaughtering a total of 11 people.
In Kimba's words:
"They actually dragged out 11 persons to the Eid praying ground outside the town and slaughtered all of them".
There have been five attacks this week as Boko Haram has left 173 people dead
The Islamic extremists appear to be obeying an Islamic State group order to step up their attacks in this holy month of Ramadan.
On Thursday, a woman and a girl strapped with explosives blew up and killed 13 people at a crowded market and military checkpoint in Malari village, just outside Maiduguri city, according to security guard present at the scene, Abba Shehu.
The deadliest attack came when the militants targeted several mosques in Kukawa town, 180 kilemetres of Maiduguri on Wednesday, and gunned down nearly 100 praying worshippers.
President Muhammadu Buhari condemned the latest attacks, calling them "desperate acts" that underscore the need to speed up full deployment of the multinational army.
