Rahman has emerged as a top player in Augsburg over the last 12 months and the German outfit were unwilling to let go of the 21 year old Ghanaian full back. Chelsea had an original bid rejected by Augsburg and had to upgrade their bid. The final bid by Chelsea was reported to be in the region of 20 million Euros and this figure forced Augsburg to cave and allow the player leave for Stamford bridge.
